About PDX Artisan
Problem Solved.
As an art welder and blacksmith, I found myself spending long hours preparing metal blanks for my own projects. I sculpt animals that contain all sorts of shapes — from spirals to leaves to even smaller animal forms. Cutting these organic shapes out proved error-prone, messy, and time-consuming.
The prospect of streamlining this process became the germ of a business idea. And that idea blossomed into PDX Artisan.
Using a CNC plasma cutter enables me to create more shapes faster, increasing productivity and producing a more polished end product.
And the process is repeatable: once a design file is created, it can be used over and over. Such automation allows blacksmiths and art welders to focus on the work.

About Jacqueline
Metal sculptor Jacqueline Sowell is a tech-world defector, trading her career in software development for companies like Microsoft and Adobe for a life of making things with her hands and dealing with humans versus staring at a screen.
An L.A. native-turned Oregonian, Jacqueline began her journey in metal art to cure her phobia of “hot things.” Once she got her hands on a MIG welder, there was no turning back.
Today, Jacqueline splits her time between creating sculptures (for enjoyment, gallery shows, and commissions) and helping other metalworkers achieve their goals through CNC services and welding workshops. Oh, and kittens.
Is Jacqueline the right one to elevate your next project? Let’s talk.
