If you dream of working with metal, start here. PDX Artisan offers art welding classes and metalworking workshops at Past Lives Makerspace in Portland—designed for beginners, hobbyists, and experienced makers alike.

Hands-on Metalworking Classes and Workshops.

These aren’t lecture-heavy classes or trade school programs. They’re hands-on, project-based sessions where you’ll create sculptures with pre-cut components and guided instruction. Classes are held at Past Lives Makerspace in inner S.E. Portland.

Project-Based Classes

No prior experience needed. Just show up ready to play with metal. We’ll provide all the instructions, tools, materials, and protective gear. You’ll leave with new skills and something tangible to show for it.
